Griffin Mobility Customer Service Job Description
This is a full-time position, 40-hours per week, 8am – 5pm, Monday thru Friday. After 90-day trial period, Griffin Mobility offers BCBS insurance (medical & basic dental), of which 50% of employee’s premium is company-paid. After 90 day trial period, employee is eligible for holiday pay. Griffin Mobility is closed 8 days yearly for observed holidays. After 1 year employment, employee will also be eligible for 7 additional days (56 hours) paid time off that can be used as vacation, sick time, or other personal leave.
BASIC DUTIES
- Answer phones and route calls to proper staff -- daily
- Schedule appointments -- daily
- Greet incoming customers – daily
- Create work orders for jobs to be performed – daily
- Determine walk-in customer needs & route to proper staff for assistance – daily
- Over time, will be expected to learn basic information to answer questions regarding equipment, installations, and company policies / procedures
- Sign-in customers who have scheduled jobs – daily
- Complete paperwork / receive customer signatures at end of jobs -- daily
- Check supply of product literature & refill if needed
- Document filing
- Prep Customer Break Station – daily
- Check public restroom for cleanliness & supplies (take any action needed) – daily
- Vacuum showroom / offices -- weekly (or more if needed)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to communicate clearly both oral & written Constantly

- Able to Operate the following computer programs: Constantly
- Quickbooks
- Microsoft Office Products
- Able to lift 50 lbs Rarely
- Able to drive company & customer’s vehicle(s) Occasionally
- Able to travel for job training (sometimes multiple days) Occasionally
CHARACTERISTICS NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION
- Prior sales experience is not a requirement, but would be a PLUS
- Patience & Attentiveness to needs of Customers
- Much of what we do is “Listen” to what our customers are saying, and try not to assume we know what they want or need before hearing their story
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers and staff
- Communication that is clear, concise, and accurate is a daily necessity, whether speaking with customers, or relaying information to other staff
- Willingness to learn details of the work performed at Griffin Mobility
- Inherent requirements of this job include the ability to learn and understand many of the technical aspects of how jobs are performed in order to better answer questions & help customers
- Strong work ethic and time management skills
- A pleasant demeanor
- Ability to read & understand verbal & written directions
- Valid Driver's license with clean driving record
- Required by our insurance in order to drive company or customer vehicles
- Valid auto insurance (to prove employee is insurable)
- Substance free during work hours
- Griffin Mobility has a no tolerance policy for alcohol or illegal drug use on the work site, and cannot hire individuals who regularly use prescription drugs that may impair judgment or ability to operate vehicles or machinery
